I just have one question; "Is that all you got Harry?"

Nothing intelligent or thoughtful?

Oh Right, you're the rugged individualist and being intelligent or thoughtful is a sign of weakness among "conservatives". (I put "conservative" in quotation marks because really, what exactly are you conserving besides a fear based political climate? Or perhaps the bank accounts of your rich friends who help you legitimize your false outrage by paying you to disrupt townhall meetings on health care?)

At least we liberals are trying to communicate. But then, we're the winners here.

What is your comment calculated to do?

There is no pretty way to say this Harry, since I've been abused seriously by your kind in the country of my birth for no good reason at all but fear and hate. I won't be pulling any punches here.

Lets be clear here Harry, conservatives are SORE LOSERS!

Conservatives are hateful in triumph (if you call being rode like a herd animal to power by George W Bush triumph) and hateful in defeat. Come to think of it, the entire conservative world view is all about fear and hate.

Clearly that is the defining characteristic that separates us. I choose the folly of living my life in love and compassion because I'd rather live in a world like that, and you choose the folly of living your life in a spy thriller in fear of the liberal takeover of the media and our government. I say things like "our" government and you say things like "My" government.

You say "I", "me" and "mine" while I say "we", "us" and "ours". You say my neighborhood, I say our neighborhood. And even though we are so different, I still believe that we have more common ground than battle ground and am willing to find a way to move forward that satisfies both our sensibilities.

Meanwhile you shout to drown out the attempt at communicating.

This is what is happening.

Liberals are either winning this fight, or the few, wealthy vocal minorities (Health Insurance Industry, again riding you conservatives like herd animals) are astroturfing their way to American fascism. But of course, we'll call it "Americanism". For you see now attending the townhall meetings the proto brownshirts. Just remember, in dehumanizing your opponent, you become the evil which you profess to abhor. You and your family will be completely at the mercy of your flawed and horrifying world view. A world view which requires there be losers and winners rather than members of a community working together toward a society which allows each and every one of us to be who we wish to be. Something I'm sure you will think is just hilarious. But then your mascot might be Joe "beat the livin' tar out of Pelosi" the plumber. Am I right? Just so you know, advocating violence against your opponent isn't exactly the hallmark of responsible civilized citizenry. Just so you know.

Conservatives are showing their true colors now at the townhalls across America. Seventy five percent of America is watching you do this. Conservatives will not regain power anytime in the next three decades. But I promise, liberals are far nicer to deal with than conservatives. If you don't like nice, compassionate and fair, go back to Nazi Germany.

Besides, haven't you learned your lesson from George Bush? Did any of your agenda get accomplished under his watch? Don't you feel just as ripped off by the Republicans as we do? With all the moralizing that goes on in right wing camps don't you have to have one hell of a set of blinders on to avoid total ideological meltdown in the face of your own people like Larry Craig and Mark Sanford revealing that they are, after all, mere humans complete with repressed sexual appetites?

Some one said the other day that I was a commie pinko something or other... I replied; "I'm afraid my friend that the cold war is over and you've been propagandized. But hey! That's the beauty of being American. I'm entitled to my opinion and you're entitled to theirs."

I say it again Harry, that's the beautiful thing about America I'm entitled to my opinion and you're entitled to theirs. Until you organize your brownshirts into goon squads in the streets of America to beat it out of my head I will continue to live as if America is a free country because I was taught about the concept as a child and I'll be damned if I live any other way. That's what they mean when they say the tree of liberty needs an occasional refreshing. That's my blood they're talking about Harry, not yours. That's right Harry, my blood, the blood of the war resisters that your ilk has spilled from time to time. How you twist the concept of proto brownshirt health care goon squad into an act of patriotism in your mind is perhaps beyond most liberals. Not me Harry, I understand. You fear our freedoms. Which makes you repressed.

Fear of freedom Harry. That's what it is all about. The rich fear our freedom and you are their lackey in the street. They call it Mobocracy. You are attempting to prove them right. Truth be told, you right wing loonies are afraid of your own shadows. Let me clue you in here Harry, it is far more courageous for a person to admit that they are bisexual than it is to be grumpy, racist, white and male in America. The natives from whom our ancestors stole this land call us two spirited beings and respect us and even revere us for our balanced views regarding sexuality, gender roles, and other important matters such as war. By the way, I wouldn't even say we stole it exactly, if we would collectively stop the continued abusive behavior that really amounts to the continued theft of all we hold sacred day in and day out by the very same kind of people.

I believe being two spirited helps me see both sides of an issue and that makes me a natural mediator in discussions. I'm always trying to hold the group together. Community is very important to me. It is important to me that we have the freedom you and I to disagree. But we must agree to disagree, agreeably. Which hopefully leaves the way open to allow you and I to work together sand bagging when the levee breaks having had all our battle ground washed away by a common foe. You can go back to "tea bagging" afterwards.

So ask yourself, who's taking the moral high ground here Harry? Paid health care thugs for insurance company buggery? Or the 75% of America that voted for Obama and health care reform? Hmmmm? Ask yourself that question Harry.

Your warm squishy words have warmed my boots nicely and made me think of things like gardening and fertilizer.

Harry, you must be a glutton for punishment, engaging in a battle of wits with me. And punished I'm sure you will be. Mostly by your own stupid belief system that traps you into believing all the rich mans dung in your head. you think they're your ideas but they've been hammered into you like a million razor sharp shards of hate over a lifetime by all the people you look up to that told you all those lies. You should drop the burning bag of racist little ape shit your holding in your sweaty little fists before you remember that you haven't eaten and mistake it for your lunch.

I think you and I both know who the really creative one is here. And I don't really need to waste any more of my valuable time but I will say this: You're not here in the name of truth, or patriotism and you're not interested in working together with your community. Yours is a reductionist view with a slightly sociopathic bent. What system of beliefs is it that brings you to the conclusion that the weakest and the least of us don't matter? What twisted views would allow you (like the bueareucrats of Nazi Germany) to believe they have the right to take away any member of our society's god given rights as a living being to pursue their happiness as free and equal citizens of our country?

What part of "I prefer to live my life in joy rather than fear" don't you understand? Besides, regardless of the numbers, Obama won a landslide victory and has more of a mandate than any president since FDR. Obama actually has political capital. Conservatism in general took a huge hit, the GOP is in virtual shambles and to date has not accomplished one single item on the radical evangelical right wings agenda. What has been accomplished is the wholesale looting of every scrap of wealth Americans hands have created in the last forty years. Mostly under the watch of George Bush and which now continues virtually unabated under the Obama Administration. It is as if every one in Washington is being held at gunpoint forced to make decisions that benefit only the wealthy and virtually enslave everyone else. Your mindless right wing townhall bully antics only serve the rich to bring our country closer to fascism. You are (or are currently being represented in the the streets by) a cheap thug and a corporate lackey supporting rich bastards on wall street as they rip you, your family and every man woman and child in America off to the tune of ten trillion dollars. Your just the dog (the worst kind) waiting and cowering in the shadows until you think it's safe to come out and take the scraps you are thrown by those even more small minded than you. That's right Harry, you're nothing more than a member of the "meat puppets for fascism club" but which I fondly refer to the dispossessed political extinctions about to be. You will be, shall we say, put out to political pasture for the remainder of the apocalypse.

Getting up off my ass

What? You mean like GWB got up off you after taking a ride to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue? If the GOP has body parts, you are its dark and festering posterior. You look close to erupting.

Harry, I've been a campaigner in the trenches of the real grass roots of this country pretty much since 1985 working for Illinois public action, Progressive Action for the Common Good (where I'm a founding member), I've worked for ACORN, volunteered for countless political campaigns... You'll find it difficult to keep up with me I assure you Harry. I do 30 miles per day on my bicycle and have ridden my bicycle across whole states. I can leap your bullshit in a single bound and be off through the poetry of my life for the rest of the day. You're just a passing zephyr of bad air... and gone with the slight popping sound you might expect from the empty right wing gas bag on it's last gasp.

Conservatism was dealt at the very least a 30 year death blow. I'm afraid that being small minded grumpy white and "proud of it" is falling out of favor Harry. I'm just sorry I haven't thanked you properly for the long food lines and high gas prices and the low opinion of my country held by the world thanks to your incredible stupidity in voting for George W Bush. You bear a huge amount of the responsibility for the terrible mess that we are currently in my friend. I'd be a little more apologetic if I were you. 'Cause even though you have this image of what you think of us or me, we know that this isn't the reality we live in. Your ideology has become so unhinged from reality that you allow yourself to relegate 15% of Americans to silence and oppression (though only in your tiny mind) because you're too frightened and petty to see that cooperative behavior which is a win / win situation is better than the win / lose situation which you were born and bred for like an animal on its way to slaughter.

In Spanish I would say Quiete la hosica Harry. Which means quiet your horses mouth to be exact. Those are generally regarded as fighting words btw in many places in this country. But in your case they're really true. I trust that you and your small minded friends have their plans for the "takeover" and all the guns and ammo squirreled away you can get your hands on. I'm just looking at this jar of quarters thinking they'd make great arrow heads. twenty years from now that's how we'll probably be living largely because we didn't have Al Gore for president for the last eight years. We squandered the last chance for Americans to keep the cushy lifestyle that we've lived for so long.

We squandered the wealth of unborn generations

I always have to remind myself that conservatives have children and they must care about them and so they must simply know no other way to proceed. I just wonder how do you justifying the claim that you're pro life, an advocate of unborn children in your own words, and turn around and then mortgage the futures of those unborn children for what really amounts to a mountain of cheap plastic crap. Me, I know that I've done almost everything I could do to make this world a better place and will continue to do so. I eat as many whole unprocessed local foods I can which I think is the most subversive thing I do. I use a bicycle for serious transportation saving those unborn generations maybe millions of dollars if Buckminster Fuller is right.

He claimed that gasoline should be a million dollars a gallon owing to its scarcity and rate of recovery spread out across a fair span of time which would ration it down to the point that we would probably use it in making perfumes and inhaling it's vapors for its inebriating effects. It would be nearly the most expensive item on earth. The value of having not used a resource actually becomes more valuable projected out into the future. So, since technology and other factors combine to reduce the need for large amounts of fossil fuels, those fossil fuels would naturally become more and more expensive as we leveraged more and more of the real cost of using petroleum back to the user. It's what we call true cost. I believe that the true cost of using oil will end up pretty much around a million dollars per gallon by the turn of the century after factoring all the costs of mitigation and losses such as the 550 billion dollar loss that is predicted by climate scientists for the Iowa / Illinois region where I live due to crop loss. So Harry, my riding my bike for the past thirty years instead of driving a car has saved those same unborn children you're always claiming to support millions. What have you done besides fling dung my monkey friend?

I know, I know, blah blah (insert current right wing blah blah here) blah... But try and get your mind around this Harry; we humans have released the fossilized remains of plants and animals called oil, the carbon of which took hundreds and hundreds of thousands of years to produce volcanically and millions and millions of years to scrub out of the atmosphere by the oceans and the forest and we released roughly half of what we started with in a mere hundred years. That's a pretty big bump to a fairly delicate web of life that exists here on earth and I wouldn't be surprised if it begins to effect the climate in precisely this way; My prediction is that we will begin very quickly to see the rate of change that life is used to begin to exceed life's ability to adapt to the changes. We humans, being the very adepts of change on earth by having been forced out of niche after niche till we apparently mastered virtually every possible niche on earth and became what we are today, have posed for ourselves the ultimate survival test. The winners will be the ones who understand how to function in a democracy which you clearly know nothing about.

Your right wing lunatic strategy could never possibly dream of guaranteeing us a small chance of retaining even a tiny degree of civilization and cohesion in society over the next few decades. A community is built upon cooperation not hate. And cooperation is best served in an atmosphere of love and support not fear and paranoia perpetrated by the small minded bullies of the current kings of America, the health care insurance industry sociopaths. With the hate filled tactics you are currently employing you will certainly meet an appropriately hate filled demise without any doubt on my part. That goes for you, your "movement", and all of your brutal simpleton jackboot licking friends. I hope you guys know you make slack jawed yokels look like Harvard professors. Though I don't think even they would sell their chance at health care reform for them and especially for their children for a fistful of insurance monkey dung that you're threatening me with there Harry.

We winners know that the way forward to a more civilized society lies not through bullying or screaming or even killing but through working together and developing ways to solve our problems in a way that preserves the ideas that conservatives have that are good and the ideas that liberals have that are good. I'm pretty sure I feel that way because I'm just fair minded but it could very well be that I feel that way because being the winner here, I can afford to be extremely magnanimous. Because in the end I know that your conservative ideas upon closer examination will be revealed as the empty pack of lies it really is and your hateful narrow minded ways will be discarded like so much dung.

So, onward, enough time spent on the small minded distractions that your tiny buzzings have become Harry. I hope you have a wonderfully post apocalyptic adventure of your own idiot making my brother. Just one small bit of advice before you embark upon the final leg of your foolish dung flinging erand. I'd learn something that makes you valuable to your community like making soap, or growing produce, or just being all around helpful to your fellow citizens if I were you. Pretty much it's going to get real tuff around here and if you loonies think any of us are going to sit around and be bullied by the likes of you now or at any time in the near future you're sadly mistaken. I doubt you'll be crackin' whips for the rich bastards on wall street anytime soon my dim witted friend. I mean, c'mon, I can't even find someone willing to admit that they voted for George W Bush. He's going down in history as the worst president in American history. In his defeat this November 2008 you and your ilk heard the political death knell of your rabid and racist ways. Now you can go back to your hidee holes and squeal like pigs all you like. I don't have to watch. No Harry, it is you and your bunch of rotten boot licking corporate money humping right wing yahoos who are falling off your ill timed political wave straight into the dustbin of history soon to be forgotten as the new age of reason dawns upon us as we, the winners, are forced to pick up the broken pieces of our dreams and lives and once again stitch them into as vibrant and diverse a community of life as we can.
