Note to Garrison Keillor: "No justice, No Peace"
May 21st, 2009
Dear Garrison,
I hope this finds you well. I have been a fan of your show for many years. After reading your recent article; "Keillor: Retribution makes poor politics --- let's move on" I have decided to "move on". I will no longer listen to your show. I'm just the little guy but I will do what I can when I can.
America needs accountability in order to regain the moral high ground that we once had. There is a saying; "No justice, no peace". This is where we are right now. Zero justice for those that died for a lie. For many families, justice is the ONLY WAY TO "MOVE ON". Please keep the families of the victims of this lie in mind when you think about "moving on".
The Bush administration placed itself above the law and in doing so made a mockery of everything America stands for. We like to believe that we are a nation of laws. That no one is above the law. In order to restore every Americans faith we need to really see this in action. So lets make America real and prosecute these criminals. This will in no way diminish us as a nation, rather it will bring a much needed restoration of faith in American values both abroad and at home.
Mr. Keillor, I hope you change your mind regarding the importance of justice in the world. People listen to you and respect your opinion. Please tell them the truth.
Remember, No Justice, no peace.
Sincerely,
David VanThournout
